The year is moving fast with our first meeting being held for November already.
A great turnout this morning with 4 new guests to the club. We are going from strength to strength and the great vibe of positivity is a credit to all members in the club.
Members from multiple industries are all stating that numbers are up and the local economy is picking up. This is great news after many years up subdued growth in the area. The money barrel was taken out by President Kevin Sallis this morning, not sure if any rigging was going on pre-meeting?
Guest Speaker for the day was David Kerr from the Dolphin Discovery Centre. David took us through the journey of the Discovery Centre from pre-renovations through to the final completed building as it stands now. As with any large project David stated there were trials and tribulations, but the final result has made it all worthwhile. David also stated the positive impact that the Discovery Centre has on the local economy in the form of tourism, employment, and of being a catalyst for the 3 stages in the Koombana Waterfront projects.
A reminder to members for the Christmas social function to be held on 14th December at Corners on the Bay Café.
